About
the author
A full-time,
free-lance writer and photographer, Jeff Samsel works from his home
in northeast Georgia, where he lives with his wife and two children.
Writing
primarily about fishing, Samsel has published work in more than
100 different magazines, newspapers and e-zines over the past seven
years. He has authored one other book, Georgia: A Guide to Backcountry
Travel & Adventure, has contributed chapters to five other books,
including Catfishing Strategies, and previously spent five years
as editor of Tennessee Sportsman, South Carolina Game & Fish,
North Carolina Game & Fish and Virginia Game & Fish.
Samsel fishes for and writes about everything that swims in Southern
waters. He has a special for catfish, however, and has spent extensive
research time on rivers and lakes throughout the South
learning more about big cats. Samsel does not claim to be an expert
catfishermen, but he has spent countless hours in the boats of anglers
who truly deserve that title, and much of their expertise lies within
the pages of Catfishing in the South. Contact him at jsamsel@alltel.net
